A post about books I’ve been loving recently.
Milk and Honey by: Rupi Kaur
A book of poetry that immediately captured my attention when reading the first stanza in the store. These lines of poetry are not only beautifully and painfully written, but can be relate-able to women everywhere. The drawings are simple sketches, but combine perfectly with the subject matter. I love it.
In the Company of Women by: Grace Bonney
I first discovered this book while browsing Barnes and Noble and knew it was a book I had to read. The pages are filled with advice and artwork from dozens of inspirational women. Not one of them has a problem with breaking the mold and even with their large amounts of success, they aren’t done yet. Such an inspiring and motivational read for entrepreneurs.
I-D Magazine is a UK magazine. I purchased the spring 2017 edition on Amazon after stumbling across their Instagram and being pulled in by the stories and fashion brands ranging from high-street to designer. The difference I noticed in this magazine compared to American magazines is how open they are to starting a conversation about real content that can be sometimes difficult to discuss. The photography is stunning and I love that a majority of the images are in black and white.
Thanks for reading! Let me know what books you have been loving lately!
